1. Why this policy exists
This policy explains the steps we take to prevent and detect fake or misleading reviews, in line with the UK Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCCA).
2. Who can leave a review
Only a customer who sent a request through Totabiz, from a verified mobile number, and then confirmed on their request page that they worked with the business. We send one review invitation per business a couple of days after that confirmation. There is no open review form on the site.
3. Moderation
Every review is checked by our team before it is published. We reject reviews that are abusive, contain personal data, or are not about the service provided.
4. Honest ratings, without suppression
Reviews that pass moderation are published whether they are positive or negative. A business cannot pay, subscribe or ask us to hide, remove or down-rank a genuine negative review. The rating shown on a profile includes every published review.
5. Reporting a review
A business or customer who believes a published review is fake, false or abusive can report it through our Contact page. An administrator assesses the request trail and any evidence supplied, and records the decision.
6. Incentives
We do not run incentivised review campaigns. A paid plan never changes a business's rating, which reviews are shown, or how reports are handled.
